MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and the Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms on Saturday due to the southwest monsoon or "habagat," the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Affected are La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Antique, Iloilo, and Guimaras, Pagasa said.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms because of the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).
The rest of Mindanao are expected to have localized thunderstorms.
Two storms, “Francisco” and “Gardo” left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Thursday and Friday.
