PENAMPANG: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has urged Sabah media and broadcasting players, particularly TV Sabah, to use the platform as a space for creativity and expression.

In a speech delivered by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan at the launch dinner of TV Sabah and Berita TV at Hongkod Koisaan KDCA here, he said collaboration with local artists, influencers and technical teams could raise the industry and attract corporate investment.

He expressed confidence that Sabah’s pool of talent and resources would enable the state to drive innovation in broadcasting and become a national leader in the creative industry.

The event also saw TV Sabah sign MoUs with five creative organisations, including Breeze Magazine, Sabah Film and Visual Association (Safva), KDCA, Music Right Sabah (MRS) and Millennium Virtual Production (MVP).

With 70 per cent of its content focused on Sabah, TV Sabah has promoted the State’s culture, heritage and natural assets, while also drawing more than 20 million monthly views across social media, apps and streaming platforms.
