Commonwealth Games 2026 schedule, start times and how to watch

Glasgow hosts a slimmed-down version of the Commonwealth Games as athletes from 74 nations and territories compete for gold in the Scottish city.

Glasgow stepped in after the Australian state of Victoria backed out three years ago due to the cost of hosting the Games.

The 10-sport programme, including six Para sports, will feature athletics, gymnastics, cycling and swimming - and will take place across four Glasgow venues.

The 11,000-spectator Scotstoun Stadium will stage the athletics as well as the biggest home star of the Games, new mile world record holder Josh Kerr.

The Games will be shown live across TNT Sports and HBO Max, rather than on the BBC or terrestrial television.
