Condo, Proton X70 among Hole-In-One prizes

Kota Kinabalu: A Jesselton Twin Towers condominium unit, as well as a Proton X70 unit will be among the Hole-In-One prizes during the Kota Kinabalu City Golf Tournament 2023 held in conjunction with Kota Kinabalu City’s 23rd Anniversary.

Aside from the Hole-In-One prizes, there are also lucky ticket draw prizes in the form of electrical appliances, in addition to the winners’ prizes.

The tournament will be held at Sutera Harbor Golf and Country Club on Feb 25, 2023 from 7.30am.

The format of the competition is Stableford Stroke Play which is divided into VIP and Open Team categories.

The sponsors for the Hole-In-One prize for the Kota Kinabalu City Golf Tournament 2023 paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip, recently.

The sponsors included Michael Lee representative of Jesselton Properties Sdn. Bhd. who sponsored one Jesselton Twin Towers condominium unit, Michelle Ho and Tiong Vui Yen from Meta Bright Group Berhad who sponsored one commercial suite unit Damai Suite and Francis Chiu from Proton Fook Loi Flagship 5S who sponsored one Proton X70 unit.

A briefing of the tournament was delivered by Saiman Angak, Director of the DBKK Transport and Traffic Department as Chairman of the Tournament Organiser where a total of 120 golfers have confirmed participation in this tournament.

The tournament is divided into two categories namely VIP Category for individual participation and Team for open participation.

A total of 25 teams have confirmed their participation for this tournament including teams from Sandakan, Melaka, Johor and Sarawak.

The individual category will be joined by Sabah State Secretary, Datuk Safar Untong, Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, South Korean Consulate, Joo Jung Chul, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Isnin Alisnih and several State and Federal department heads including public and private agencies.

Meanwhile, Noorliza thanked the sponsors for their contribution in making the golf tournament a success which was one of 25 events held in conjunction with the 23rd Anniversary of Kota Kinabalu City.

So far the response from the public is very encouraging as the Makan-Makan Festival event alone has attracted 60,000 visitors.
