SEMPORNA: A total of 3,060kg of packet cooking oil and six LPG gas cylinders were seized in Ops Tiris 4.0 at Kampung Tanjung Kapor, here, on Friday.
The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) here said a man without valid identification documents was also detained during the operation with a wooden boat and three pump engines.
The man was handed over to the Crime Investigation Division of Semporna Police Headquarters for further action.
The arrest and seizures were made by Semporna Marine Police Force at 7.20am at a jetty in the village.
KPDN, in a statement, said all the seizures were estimated worth RM9,809.60, including RM7,809.60 worth of controlled items.
The case is being investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
