The visit was part of Abang Johari’s official engagements in Sabah. Earlier, Abang Johari attended the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) meeting at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC).
Also present during the courtesy call were Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif and Sabah State Secretary Datuk Zainudin Aman.
