Cristiano Ronaldo’s influence is already being felt at UD Almeria after the Portuguese superstar purchased a minority stake in the Spanish club.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner recently acquired a 25 percent share in Almeria, joining the ownership led by Mohamed Al Khereiji, from SMC Group, who bought the club in 2025.

Almeria are currently competing in Spain’s La Liga 2 after being relegated from La Liga, but Ronaldo’s involvement has quickly boosted the club’s global profile.

Only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla currently have larger followings among Spanish clubs.

The surge reflects Ronaldo’s enormous global audience, as the forward remains the most followed person in the world with 672 million Instagram followers.

Cristiano Ronaldo absent for Al-Nassr with hamstring injury

While his off pitch influence continues to grow, Ronaldo is currently dealing with a setback in his playing career.

The Portuguese star was absent from Al-Nassr’s latest match, when the Saudi club secured a 1-0 victory over Neom SC.

His absence was notable, given his importance to Al-Nassr’s attack and leadership within the squad as they continue their domestic campaign.

However, Jorge Jesus’ side were still able to achieve a narrow victory due to a late-minute winner from Mohamed Simakan.
