The five-time Ballon d’Or winner recently acquired a 25 percent share in Almeria, joining the ownership led by Mohamed Al Khereiji, from SMC Group, who bought the club in 2025.
Almeria are currently competing in Spain’s La Liga 2 after being relegated from La Liga, but Ronaldo’s involvement has quickly boosted the club’s global profile.

The Andalusian club have now become the fifth most followed Spanish team on Instagram, with 3.2 million followers.
Only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla currently have larger followings among Spanish clubs.
The surge reflects Ronaldo’s enormous global audience, as the forward remains the most followed person in the world with 672 million Instagram followers.

The Portuguese star was absent from Al-Nassr’s latest match, when the Saudi club secured a 1-0 victory over Neom SC.
The Portuguese superstar missed the game due to a serious hamstring injury, raising concerns about how long he may be sidelined.
His absence was notable, given his importance to Al-Nassr’s attack and leadership within the squad as they continue their domestic campaign.
However, Jorge Jesus’ side were still able to achieve a narrow victory due to a late-minute winner from Mohamed Simakan.
