SIPITANG: The severed leg of Pungut Madin was discovered near an offshoot of Sungai Banting in Kuala Mengalong on Monday, confirming fears that he had fallen victim to a crocodile attack.
The 52-year-old victim who went missing four days ago while searching for wood with his brother and two relatives, was reportedly dragged underwater by a crocodile.
Fire and Rescue Station Chief Calvin Joe Jeafery said the discovery of the limb confirmed the tragic fate of the missing man, though the rest of his body had yet to be recovered.
