
THE one-kilometre cultural walk at the Tropical Rainforest Ujana Park in Penampang on Saturday was one of the key features of the ongoing Sabah Fest 2025 which was officially launched by State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew, recently.
Ethnic participants clad in their traditional costumes caught the attention of the public at the venue. The walk was preceded by an eight-kilometre fun run the same morning, taking the runners past iconic places of worship, including the Sacred Heart Cathedral, State Mosque, Gurdwara Sahib Temple, and Peak Nam Toong Temple.
The Cultural Walk, the first such activity to be held at the Tropical Rainforest Ujana Park, was organised by the Sabah Tourism Board (STB), coordinated by Sri Pelancongan Sabah (SPS), and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment.
Among the participants of the Walk were the Ministry’s Deputy Permanent Secretary II, Datin Cleopatra Asing; Director of Tourism Malaysia Sabah, Haryanty Abu Bakar; Chief Executive Officer of SPS, Thonny Chee; STB Senior Marketing Manager, Humphrey Ginibun and Sabah Cultural Board Manager of Digitalisation & Publicity, Mohd Nazrin Shah Nasip.
