William Saliba says Matteo Guendouzi convinced him to join Arsenal - while speaking at a funfair!
The pair bumped into each other in Paris and Guendouzi, who excelled in his debut season with the club, could speak highly enough of life in North London.
Saliba completed a move from Saint-Etienne on Thursday, and speaking at his unveiling, he revealed Guendouzi's influence on his decision.
The Frenchman said: "I spoke to Matteo [Guendouzi], I even bumped into him at a funfair in Paris.
"That's where I told him that Arsenal wanted to sign me! He gently advised me to come here and explained what it was like."
