SHAH ALAM - National track cyclist Muhammad Shah Firdaus Sahrom is relegated and given a warning, but will still compete for the repechage based on the Olympic website.

He was competing in men's keirin.

Hopes for a Malaysian medal in cycling are still alive as Shah Firdaus will compete at 1.20am.

According to the rules, the rider who starts their sprint first claims the sprinter's lane - between the black and red lines - and may be relegated if they come out of it and impede the sprint of their opponent.
