Conor McGregor’s long-awaited return to MMA has been a recurring topic in recent years, with fans continuing to question when he will step back into the Octagon.

The Irishman recently expressed interest in featuring on the White House card, though that opportunity will not materialise. Despite that, he remains open to fighting again in the UFC.

Momentum around his comeback has started to build, with increasing signs that a return could finally take place later this year following extended inactivity.

White addressed the situation after last Saturday’s UFC Fight Night, which was headlined by Gilbert Burns and Mike Mallot.

Providing a brief assessment, he suggested that discussions with McGregor are progressing without confirming any final agreement.

“It’s looking good… once we get a deal done with him, we’ll announce it,” the UFC boss said.

Following the announcement of UFC Freedom 250, speculation has grown that ‘The Notorious’ could return during International Fight Week in July.

McGregor has historically been the promotion’s biggest draw, often driving record-breaking numbers.

Without PPV, both sides must find a new way to measure his commercial value and agree terms that reflect his impact.
