Taylor Fritz kept his hopes of successfully defending his title in Stuttgart alive with a straight-sets win in the semi-finals on Saturday.

The US player once again showed his qualities on grass in the 6-4, 6-4 victory over Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan.

Fritz underlined his form ahead of the next highlight on the tennis calendar, the Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon starting at the end of June.

The 28-year-old will face either top seed and fellow US star Ben Shelton or Jiri Lehecka of the Czech Republic in the final.
