Announced for Malaysia, these machines are built to just work reliably from the moment they’re unboxed, without needing a second thought, and Dell’s aiming to deliver that at a price that actually makes sense for growing teams.
The design itself got a real refresh too, coming in 11% thinner and 9 to 16% lighter than the previous generation, which matters if you’re the kind of small business owner bouncing between meetings, client sites, and the office. They’re available in Celestial Blue or Platinum Silver, giving them a clean, professional look without feeling stiff.
Dell clearly thought about the small stuff that adds up over a workday. The refreshed keyboard includes shortcut keys like a dedicated microphone mute button with an LED indicator, a dictation key for faster voice input, and a snapshot key for quick screen captures. The touchpad also got 6% bigger, giving you more room to navigate comfortably.
On the display side, you can choose between an FHD+ panel at 400 nits or a sharper 2.5K panel at 500 nits, both in a 16:10 aspect ratio that gives you extra vertical space for documents and side-by-side work, which is genuinely useful for anyone juggling multiple windows during the day.
Under the hood, you’ve got a choice between Intel Core Series 3 or AMD Ryzen 200 Series processors, with memory configurations going up to 64GB and storage up to 1TB, plenty for typical small business multitasking. Connectivity covers 2x USB-C ports, 2x USB-A ports, HDMI, an audio jack, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port on Intel models, so you’re not stuck hunting for adapters.
Security gets real attention here too, with a Trusted Platform Module chip, biometric login through either a fingerprint reader or FHD IR camera, a mechanical camera shutter for privacy, and a security lock slot. Both laptops are tested to MIL-810H durability standards and come EPEAT Gold Climate+ registered and ENERGY STAR certified, shipping in packaging made entirely from recycled or renewable materials.
