Desa Park City murder victims died of stabs to the neck

SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 - The woman and two children found dead in a condominium in Desa ParkCity last Thursday died of stabs to the neck.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said autopsies on the son and daughter carried out at the National Forensic Medicine Institute, Kuala Lumpur Hospital yesterday indicated they died of stab wounds to the neck.

"The autopsy on the woman (wife)...found that death was caused by sharp force injuries to the neck and chest,” he said in a statement here today. 

Fadil also added that the autopsy of the suspect, who was the woman’s husband, is expected to be completed this afternoon.

All of the bodies have yet to be claimed by their next of kin and it can only be done after the suspect’s autopsy is completed at about 6 pm today.

On claims that the motif of the incident was linked to a love scam and illegal investments, Fadil said that the victim’s family knew of it, but the police were conducting further investigation to confirm the matter.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code and as a sudden death.

On Friday, the police reported the murder 47-year-old wife and their two children, a nine-year-old girl and seven-year-old boy, at their condominium. 

Fadil said the police also found a note believed to have been left by the 48-year-old father, believed to be a company director, before he fell to his death from the 33rd floor of the condominium block.

The note, New Straits Times reported that it expressed the man's distress over his wife's alleged involvement with a love scammer, which purportedly resulted in him suffering losses and accumulating debts totalling RM260,000.

The three were found dead in separate rooms of the family's home after police, assisted by the Fire and Rescue Department, gained entry into the unit on Friday (August 28).  

Fadil said a knife and a pair of gloves believed to have been used in the killings were recovered from a drawer in the master bedroom.
