
Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, celebrated the remarkable achievements of its students at the 30th Annual Tricity Inter-School Poster-Making Competition, organised by the Generation Saviour Association (GSA) as part of the World No Tobacco Day observance. At the felicitation ceremony held at SD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, students were honoured for their creative posters promoting a tobacco-free lifestyle. Dhanvi, student of Class XII-E, Group D, got the first prize, while Akriti of Class VII-A, Group B, got the prize for merit. The competition, held at Khalsa College, saw participation from schools across the Tricity and recognised artistic excellence and awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use. Congratulating the winners, Principal Dr Parveena John Singh praised the students for their creativity, hard work, and social awareness, adding that such platforms inspire young minds to champion meaningful causes and make responsible choices for a healthier society.
