HUMAN Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling ordered Friday the resolution of all pending complaints before the agency within 30 days.
"The concerns and complaints raised by our countrymen must not be left lingering — especially those from homebuyers who have poured their blood, sweat, and hard-earned savings into building their own homes,” Aliling said.
“On the contrary, these matters should be resolved swiftly, fairly, and in full compliance with the law and existing policies," he added.
Aliling ordered all regional directors to submit a comprehensive inventory of pending homeowner and homebuyer complaints with specific reasons why they remain unresolved.
The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) has identified three priority regions for immediate action: Region 4A (Calabarzon), the National Capital Region, and Region 3 (Central Luzon).
Aliling said that under the Zero Backlog Program, 3,000 actionable regulatory items, with some dating back to 2021, were cleared within just two months.
Under existing policies of the DHSUD, all applications are required to be acted upon within 15 days — whether through approval, denial, or the issuance of a notice of deficiency of requirement.
