MANILA, Philippines—The dismembered body of a man was found in Binondo, Manila on Sunday night.
A report from the Manila Police District (MPD) released on Monday said the body parts were found at 7:30 pm on February 15 by 2 scavengers.
They told the authorities that two unidentified men got out of their vehicle and unloaded a blue drum wrapped in transparent plastic tape. The men allegedly instructed them to dispose of the drum and gave them money for the task before leaving.
When they attempted to empty the drum, they noticed an open plastic bag and saw the human remains.
The MPD said it is continuing its investigation to identify the victim and the suspects behind the incident.
