PUBLIC Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon expressed dismay over numerous unfinished infrastructure projects in the country.
"I hope that very soon I will no longer have to use strong language on Facebook and YouTube just to get projects fixed. Our fellow Filipinos deserve better," Dizon said in his speech during the Iloilo University of Fisheries and Technology graduation rites.
“Our fellow Filipinos deserve quality public services, not these kinds of infrastructure projects that were either poorly constructed or unfinished and they could be found in many areas in the country,” he added, referring to projects implemented before his appointment as Department of Public Works and Highways chief.
Dizon said he was shocked and enraged seeing either incomplete or abandoned projects funded by taxpayers’ hard-earned money.
“Definitely, heads will roll as we continue investigating before formally filing complaints before the courts, but as per the president’s directive, I must also focus on making sure that vital pending infrastructure projects are completed for the people to benefit in the long run,” he added.
