Kota Kinabalu: The appointment of the Head of State (TYT) should not be politicised or based it on a race issue, said a member of the Sabah Native Affairs Council Abd Rashid Yusof.
“The appointment of TYT is at the discretion of the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong after consultation with the Chief Minister.
“Therefore, it is not appropriate to discuss and propose a candidate for TYT post in the media, including associating it with ethnic groups or races in Sabah,” he told Daily Express, Thursday.
