
Alex Eala climbed four spots in the latest Women's Tennis Association (WTA) official rankings posted on Monday.
The Filipino netter leaped from No. 37 last week to No. 33 after ruling the 125 Birmingham Open in England Sunday evening, defeating Czech Nikola Bartunkova in the final, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5.
The title gave Eala a net gain of 76 points, boosting her total to 1,416.
Sporting a career-best rank No. 29, Eala will next compete at the 500 HSBC Championships in London slated from June 8 to 14.
Eala will face a qualifier to start her campaign.
