MANILA, Philippines — Filipino tennis ace Alex Eala and American Iva Jovic fell to the Latvian-American pair of Jelena Ostapenko and Hailey Baptiste in their opening match, 2-6, 2-6, to make an early exit at the BNP Paribas Open doubles tournament in California Sunday in Manila.

Jovic has now bowed out of the tournament after losing her singles opener against Camila Osorio on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Eala continues her singles campaign in a rematch against Coco Gauff in their round of 32 clash on Monday.
