
Teachers were apprised of innovative teaching practices and encouraged to develop problem-solving abilities through computational thinking (CT) and artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning during a district-level deliberation workshop on CT and AI, organised by Loreto Convent Tara Hall School in Shimla on Saturday.
Educators of various schools in the district, including the host school; Saraswati Paradise International Public School, Sanjauli; Trinity International School, Fagu; Central School for Tibetan Children, Chhota Shimla; Chandranahan Meadows Educational Institute, Rohru; and Central School for Tibetans, Shimla participated in the programme.
Parul Jhingta, BCA faculty member at Rajiv Gandhi Government College, Shimla; Dr Priyanka, Assistant Professor of Computer Applications at Government Degree College, Sanjauli, Shimla; and Nivedita Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, St Bede’s College, Shimla, served as resource persons for the workshop.
The speakers highlighted the importance of CT and AI in present-day education and demonstrated various tools and activities that can be integrated into classroom teaching.
