Egypt star Mohamed Salah is not expected to be sidelined due to injury following an early substitution in the final World Cup group stage match against on Friday.

"He's still being examined. We're still waiting for the diagnosis. I spoke with Salah and he said he's ok. I think he will be back," coach Hossam Hassan said after the 1-1 draw with Iran.

Salah was subbed off in the 57th minute. Once on the bench, he put an ice pack wrapped on his left thigh.

Egypt had already secured a spot in the knock-out stage before kick-off. They advanced as runners-up in Group G and will face Australia in Dallas next Friday in the round of 32.
