
PUTATAN: A house fire in Kampung Dumpil on Wednesday night destroyed two non-permanent structures and left one elderly victim with burns to his feet.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 9.29pm and arrived on the scene within four minutes, bringing the blaze under control by 9.52pm.
According to Operations Commander PBK II Linda Eslao Wagis, the fire completely gutted two houses, but firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading and saved two nearby homes.
