Eldrew bags bronze at World Cup Cairo leg

KARL Eldrew Yulo seized a bronze medal in floor exercise at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Cairo leg in Egypt on Easter Sunday.

The Filipino rising gymnast netted 14.000 points to claim his second medal in the seniors level following his golden performance at the same event in the Antalya leg on March 14.

Russian Daniel Marinov racked up 14.233 points to win the gold medal, while his compatriot Arsenii Dukhno bagged the silver with 14.133.

Yulo competes for one more medal in the high bar final on Monday. 

Meanwhile, two-time Olympic champ Carlos Yulo helped OAJLP Gymnastique reach the championship round of the French Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championship or "Top 12 Final" in France on Sunday.

Yulo and OAJLP Gymnastique topped SMB Gymnastique, 44–29, in the semifinal to reach the final round.

OAJLP Gymnastique will face defending champion ASVG Vallauris in the championship round on May 15.
