MANILA, Philippines — Eldrew Yulo goes for gold anew as he resumes his FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series campaign.
After topping floor exercise event in the Antalya leg for his first gold in the seniors level two weeks ago, Yulo takes his act in Cairo, Egypt this time.
The Cairo leg will run from April 3 to 6.
Yulo will compete in four apparatus -- floor exercise, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar.
The 18-year-old will reportedly skip the pommel horse and still rings due to ankle pains.
Yulo looks to recreate the magic he did in Antalya, where he unleashed a nifty performance to seal the championship with 14.100 points.
The brother of 2-time Olympic champ Carlos has already made the finals at the senior level thrice.
Yulo made it to the championship rounds of floor exercise and horizontal bar in the Baku leg and the floor exercise medal round in Antalya.
Southeast Asian Games double gold medalist John Ivan Cruz, Justine Ace De Leon and Juancho Miguel Besana are also representing the Philippines in the tourney.
After Cairo, Yulo is expected to join Osijek leg of the World Cup series in Croatia where the tournament will run from April 9 to 12.
The World Cup series was supposed to end with a Doha leg in Qatar from April 15 to 18, but it was cancelled due to the ongoing war in the Middle East.
