MANILA, Philippines — Karl Eldrew Yulo secured his second final qualification at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Osijek leg in Croatia, reaching the horizontal bar medal round Saturday midnight in Manila.
A promising Filipino gymnast, Yulo logged 13.733 points on 4.900 difficulty and 8.733 execution to place seventh in the qualification, where the top eight entered the final.
The 18-year-old first qualified for the floor exercise final on Friday and vies for a podium finish in the event's final on Saturday evening.
Yulo will then compete in the high bar final on Sunday.
