The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards returned to Los Angeles last night, bringing together television’s biggest stars for a celebration of the year’s best performances.

But before the winners were announced, the spotlight was firmly on the red carpet, where A-listers turned the arrivals into a runway of bold fashion statements and heartfelt tributes.

Sydney Sweeney and Selena Gomez commanded attention in fiery red gowns, Cate Blanchett paid tribute to the late Italian designer Giorgio Armani and Javier Bardem made a striking political statement with a Palestinian keffiyeh.
