KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) Leadership Council secretary Datuk Nelson W Angang said there is no issue with the election of Datuk Ewon Benedick as the new Sabah PH Chairman, as the process was conducted democratically during the recent Sabah PH Annual General Meeting (AGM).

He emphasised that the AGM was attended by leaders and delegates from all Sabah PH component parties, who participated in electing the chairman, a process respected in every previous AGM.

AdvertisementNelson highlighted the autonomy of Sabah PH in deciding its leadership, adding that there was no interference from central PH leaders in the election process.

He clarified that the position of Sabah PH Chairman is not reserved for any particular party and is open to democratic election during each AGM, with the potential for leadership rotation among Amanah, DAP, or PKR.
