Former world number one Angelique Kerber will make her debut as a TV pundit at Wimbledon where she won the last of her three grand slam titles eight years ago.
Kerber, 38, will be part of the Amazon Prime team for the second week of the June 29-July 12 tournament, the streaming service said on Friday.
"I am looking forward to trying out something new," Kerber said in a Prime statement.
"What appeals to me most about this new role is the commentary – the perspective that’s now changing for me. I’m looking forward to observing the different phases of the game a little more closely, rather than as a player on the pitch.”
Kerber won the Australian Open and US Open in 2016 and Wimbledon in 2018. She retired in 2024 after a brief comeback from maternity leave.
New members of the Prime team are also former world number two Tommy Haas and ex-German Davis Cup team captain Patrick Kühnen. Other experts include former Wimbledon champion Michael Stich, former finalist Sabine Lisicki and Mischa Zverev, the brother of French Open champion Alexander Zverev.
