The agent who closed Chris Smalling's move to Roma says it was achieved in less than two days.
The Manchester United defender has joined Roma on a season-long loan.
"It was an operation born and closed in 40 hours," Giulio Meozzi, an intermediary for this deal, told TMW. "As soon as we talked about it with Roma there was immediately the approval.
"Initially, however, United asked for 20m. The request was for four million plus sixteen obligations, a figure that would have been taken after fifteen games.
"Then a great job that led to a 3m loan, a great deal because he is the one who was the captain of United for ten years, he wanted to try a new experience and he is very happy."
