MANILA, Philippines — San Miguel Beer star center June Mar Fajardo won hands down an unprecedented 13th Best Player of the Conference, following another dominant individual showing in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup.

The 6-foot-10 Fajardo, at 36, remains at the top of his game en route to beating BPC contenders led by Titan Ultra’s flamboyant forward Calvin Abueva, Converge super rookie Juan Gomez De Liano and sophomore big man Justine Baltazar, as well as Magnolia’s athletic slotman Zavier Lucero.

The pride of Pinamungahan, Cebu received his top individual plum for the conference during a simple awarding ceremony prior to the start of Game 4 of the Philippine Cup Finals between SMB and TNT at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Wednesday.

The SMB superstar, also the nine-time league Most Valuable Player, garnered 515 points value from statistics, topped the media votes with 569 and player votes with 162 en route to amassing a total of 1,085.

The total points value was overwhelming as he defeated Gomez De Liano (732), Abueva (622), Baltazar (456) and Lucero (420).

Fajardo’s “lucky 13” BPC award further cements his legendary status, putting more distance against his closest pursuers.

A distant second behind Fajardo in the BPC awards all-time winners are TNT’s long-time star Jayson Castro and former SMB star Danny Ildefonso, who both won five.
