Farm Fresh downs Ho Chi Minh City in PVL Invitational opener

MANILA, Philippines — The Farm Fresh Foxies held off Ho Chi Minh City of Taiwan in four sets, 25-20, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20, to launch their 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference campaign on a high note on Monday night at the Araneta Coliseum.

Trisha Tubu spearheaded the offense for Farm Fresh with a game-high 25 points, while Jonna Perdido provided solid support with 14 markers.

Riri Meneses and Ara Galang also finished in double figures, contributing 12 points apiece to round out a balanced scoring effort.

Orchestrating the offense, playmaker Louie Romero registered 24 excellent sets to keep the Foxies' attack fluid throughout the match.

“I saw that we were lazy in the third set, and when it comes to the fourth set we told each other to keep our focus,” Romero shared during the post-game press conference.

The Taiwanese side was led by Thi Nah Phuong Nguyen with 13 points, while The Kim Thanh Dang and Thi Nhung Dao added 12 points each.
