MANILA, Philippines — PLDT kickstarted its PVL Invitational title defense with a 25-23, 25-15, 26-28, 25-14 win over guest Thai club Est Cola at the Araneta Coliseum Monday.
Unable to close out the Est in the third set, the Highspeed Hitters overwhelmed the visitors in the fourth with Savi Davison leading the way.
Davison fired 30 points on 24 attacks, five blocks, and 1 ace, while Mika Reyes aided her with 16 points.
Nirarach Srikuta paced Est with 14 points as Nannaphat Moonjakham backstopped her with 12.
