Angeline Jolie wears Cartier in the ‘Maria’ biopic

‘Maria’, a film about opera star Maria Callas, is one of the most talked about projects at the moment. Starring Angeline Jolie and directed by Pablo Larraín, the movie was first screened at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. Amongst the many things that stood out in ‘Maria’ are the Cartier jewellery worn by Angeline Jolie. The actress can be seen sporting Cartier Creations such as a rose clip brooch from 1972 with rubies, sapphires, emeralds, diamonds, platinum and gold. Additionally, she was also spotted wearing a 1971 panther brooch. Apart from that, the Maison’s all-new High Jewellery collection, [SUR]NATUREL, also sparkles with vibrance on Jolie.

On her character wearing Cartier in the film, Angelina Jolie said: “It was very moving to be wearing a piece of Cartier jewelry she wore and owned. I chose to wear it for a very important scene where she is with her sister and facing many hard truths. To have jewelry of such a high quality on camera felt special and right for Maria. She was such an elegant lady.”
