KUALA LUMPUR - Felda and Waqaf Felda, in collaboration with the Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF), organised the Felda Women #QuranHour 2026 programme to strengthen women's mental, emotional and spiritual resilience through Quranic guidance.
Waqaf Felda Endowment Development Division manager, Muhamad Aliff Md Yusoff, stated that the programme content was based on two main chapters, namely Surah al-Muzzammil and Surah al-Nisa'.
According to him, the theme "Resilient Felda Women: Guidance from Surah al-Muzzammil and Surah al-Nisa'" carries the message that a woman's true strength is not measured by the comforts she possesses, but rather through her ability to rise and hold fast to divine revelation despite facing various trials.
"We can witness the steadfastness of the women in Gaza who continue to educate the Quranic generation, preserve the family institution, and maintain hope despite facing numerous shortages. They symbolise women's strength rooted in faith in Allah SWT.
"The approach of this programme is not merely inviting participants to read the Quran, but to understand, internalise and translate the message of the Quran into daily life.
"A resilient woman is not merely strong in facing challenges, but capable of rising with the guidance of revelation, building soul strength, managing trials better and continuing to bring benefit to family and society," he said.
Commenting on the selection of these two chapters, Aliff said that both provide a comprehensive dimension in efforts to empower women.
He stated that Surah al-Muzzammil emphasises the building of spiritual strength and self-discipline, while Surah al-Nisa' provides guidance regarding responsibilities towards family, society, and interpersonal relationships.
"The combination of these two chapters is raised as a foundation in shaping resilient Felda women who possess inner strength, are able to face trials, and continue to play a positive role within the family and community.
"Felda Women #QuranHour is also hoped to become a platform connecting Quranic internalisation with contemporary women's issues, particularly regarding mental health, emotional strength and the capability to manage life in an increasingly challenging environment," he said.
Also present were Karangkraf chairman Firdaus Hussamuddin; WUIF chief executive officer, Marhaini Yusoff and Rumah Ngaji patron, Datin Seri Shamsida Taharin.
Felda Women #QuranHour 2026 also introduced the Felda Women Figure Award "The Khadijah Blanket", inspired by the stature of Saidatina Khadijah RA.
This recognition draws inspiration from the role of Saidatina Khadijah as a source of peace, protection, and strength for Prophet Muhammad SAW when receiving the first revelation.
The programme continued with a mental health forum titled "Trials as a Gift" featuring organisational psychologist Dr Azizi Alias, singer Fynn Jamal, qari Husaini Mahmur, while Fazrul Ismail acted as the moderator.
