The fertiliser quality control laboratory will not only help in improving the quality of fertilisers but also increase the yield of crops in Hamirpur district, said Deputy Commissioner Gandharva Rathore during a visit to the under-construction facility on the premises of the Agriculture Department in the town on Wednesday. She reviewed the ongoing work regarding the installation of the state-of-the art equipment at the facility. She added that once completed and tested, the laboratory would be made operational in the coming weeks.
Gandharva also visited the exhibition farms of Parminder Singh Dadwal to take stock of the modern and multi-cropping farming practices being undertaken by him. She observed the saplings of various crops, including medicinal plants and vegetables, and creative farming with the use of waste material.
