
MANILA, Philippines — The FEU Lady Tamaraws boosted their UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball semifinal bid with a 25-21, 22-25, 25-19, 25-22 win over the UP Fighting Maroons at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion on Sunday.
Snapping a 2-game skid and rising to a 7-5 win-loss card, FEU rose from fifth to fourth place while pushing the sixth seed UP to the brink of elimination with a 5-7 slate.
Previously in fourth place, UST dropped to fifth with a 7-5 record but FEU is ranked higher due to superior points, 22-21.
Sitting in third place, Adamson also holds a 7-5 slate but has superior set ratio points over FEU, 1.56 - 1.44.
Aly Devosoria logged 12 points, 21 excellent receptions, and 21 digs to lead the Lady Tamaraws, while Clarisse Loresco aided her with a career-high 17 points.
Niña Ytang banged 19 points to pace the Fighting Maroons.
