Adamson soars above UST, boosts semis bid

MANILA, Philippines — The Adamson Lady Falcons soared above the UST Golden Tigresses, 27-25, 25-20, 26-24, at the FilOil EcoOil Center Saturday to boost their Final Four bid in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament.

Shaina Nitura unleashed an explosive outing of 18 points, 14 excellent receptions, and 10 digs to lead Adamson, which elevated from fifth to fourth place with a 7-5 record.

The crucial win gave the Lady Falcons superior quotient points over the Golden Tigresses, who have the same record but are a notch lower than the former.

Frances Mordi notched 18 points and 11 receptions while Fhei Sagaystay tossed 21 excellent sets and seven points for Adamson, which swept its season series against UST.

Angge Poyos punched 15 points, 12 receptions, and five digs to pace the Tigresses.
