PAPAR: Seventeen houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out late Saturday night at the Kinarut Settlement Scheme here.
The Fire and Rescue Department received the call at 11.22pm and arrived at the scene 16 minutes later, with the blaze brought under control by 12.25am and fully extinguished by 4.06am.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which involved homes of semi-permanent and non-permanent structures over an area of 200 by 200 feet.
