
BEAUFORT: The district police have called on locals here including Kuala Penyu and Menumbok who own registered firearms to renew their firearm licences for this year between June 20 and 24 at the stipulated time and venues. District Police Chief DSP Yusoff Zaki bin Mat Yaacob advised locals staying here who own firearms, to renew their licences at a multipurpose hall at the Beaufort police station from 8.30am until noon on June 23 and 24.
While those in Kuala Penyu, he said the renewal process would be held at Kuala Penyu police station on June 20 and 21, and those in Menumbok can renew their firearm licence at Menumbok police station on June 22.
“An important reminder to them is that they must bring their licence books, firearm cards and copy of their identity card.
“For those who hold the licence aged 60 years and above, they need to undergo health check-up and obtain confirmation of their health reports.”
Yusoff Zaki said firearms that were not present during shooting test, the owners should properly covered their firearms.
