(UPDATE) First lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Rice Distribution program at the FilOil Centre in San Juan City on Monday.
She was assisted by Mayor Francis Zamora.
A total of 8,898 senior citizens identified by the San Juan City government are set to receive 10 kilograms of rice four times this year under the Local Government Support Fund-backed program.
For Monday’s distribution, 4,400 beneficiaries received their second wave of rice assistance, while the remaining beneficiaries are expected to receive theirs within the week, according to Zamora’s office.
