
SOOK: Five people were injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a Ford Ranger and an Isuzu D-Max along Jalan Sook Batu 14, near Kampung Baranon here late Friday afternoon.
Emergency services received the distress call at 5.10 pm, with a team from the Keningau firestation arriving at the scene approximately 25 minutes later.
The accident site, located about 24 kilometres from the station, saw members of the public already at work, having pulled all five victims from the wreckage before emergency responders arrived.

One suffered a broken arm, another sustained general injuries, while the third escaped with minor wounds.
In the Isuzu D-Max, the 60-year-old male driver suffered a broken leg, while his 55-year-old female passenger sustained light injuries. All were taken to the hospital for further treatment.
Firefighters administered initial treatment and secured the area before transferring all victims to the care of Health Ministry paramedics. The operation was declared complete at 6.36 pm after the area was cleared and confirmed safe.
