KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia has lost another football legend, Rahim Abdullah, who passed away at the age of 77 early this morning.

The passing of Rahim, who served as the national team coach in 1991, was shared by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in a statement today.

Born in Nibong Tebal, Penang, in 1947, Rahim was also a former police officer and represented the country in several international tournaments, including the Merdeka Tournament, the South Vietnam Independence Cup, and the Jakarta Anniversary Championship.

His career reached its pinnacle when he represented the nation in the 1972 Munich Olympics. - BERNAMA
