A foreign female student was found dead at a condominium in Bandar Sunway today in what police believe to be a murder case.

Petaling Jaya deputy police chief Superintendent M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly said police received information at 11.03am and immediately dispatched officers to the scene.
Murder suspected
A 20-year-old woman was found with several injuries on her body. She was a student at a private higher education institution in the area. Police later detained a foreign man in his 20s at the same condominium unit. He is also a student at the same institution, and several items believed to assist investigations were seized.
Authorities said the motive is still under investigation. The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
The victim’s body has been sent to Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem to determine the cause of death.

Police urge public not to speculate
Police have urged members of the public not to spread unverified information or make statements on the case, as it could interfere with ongoing investigations.
Those with information are advised to report to the nearest police station or contact the investigating officer assistant superintendent Surianti Lataera, at 013-335 2547.
