SHAH ALAM – A Form Two student was injured on the arm after allegedly being stabbed with a karambit knife by a classmate at a school here on Aug 5.

Shah Alam police chief assistant commissioner Sarudin Samah said the 14-year-old victim sustained only minor injuries in the incident, which occurred at 11.42am.

"The incident involved a female student as the suspect, while the victim is male, and both are classmates.

"An arrest has also been made of the suspect, who is unwell and has since been granted police bail," he said on Tuesday.

He added that the sharp weapon used by the suspect was a 10-centimetre karambit.

He said there was no clear purpose or motive behind the incident and the case remains under investigation.

"The suspect has been granted police bail, and the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code," he said.

Earlier, a Threads post went viral, alleging a stabbing incident involving students at a secondary school in the Shah Alam area.
