
LAHAD DATU: A wooden house was destroyed while three others were damaged in a fire at Kampung Panji, here, on Friday.
District Fire and Rescue Station chief, Sumsoa Rashid said, his department received a distress call following the incident at 11.57am.
A team of firefighters was deployed to the scene in two fire machineries and EMRS vehicle.

“Upon arrival, the team reported that four houses were involved in fire. One of the houses was completely destroyed, two others suffered 20 per cent damage while another house suffered five per cent damage.
“The team carried out the operation to extinguish the fire using two streams with three sprouts and managed to put the fire under control at 12.32pm,” he said.
According to Sumsoa, no casualty reported in the incident.
He said the operation ended at 1.44pm after the team made sure there was no other danger at the scene.
The cause of fire as well as losses are under investigation.
