Fox News host Jesse Watters has blasted his own network for its selective interest in the WNBA .
During a segment on Wednesday’s (21 October) episode of The Five, about the WNBA commissioner banning former NBA players attempting to join the league to prove a point about trans athletes, Watters finally cracked.
“I hate this story,” he said, “I hate the WNBA. I don't watch it. No one watches it. They average under a million viewers during the regular season, and it's boring. And the only time we talk about it is, like, they fouled the white star too hard, or someone wore a T-shirt.”
Fox News runs multiple daily segments about the league, often focused on white athletes Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark and their perceived views, or lack of public comment on, trans athletes.
