PUTATAN: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Petagas chief Mohd Isquzawan Israq Mohd Arsit reminded members to respect their party constitution and leave candidate announcements to the president or authorised representatives.

He warned that self-declared candidacies could confuse the public and urged members to rely on verified information.

Isquzawan also expressed hope that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) would field more youth and women candidates in the coming state election, saying representation from these groups would help connect better with voters.

He was speaking after officiating the Putatan Youth Darts Championship on Satuday, jointly organised with the Putatan Youth Power Club to promote community engagement and support local vendors.

Incumbent Petagas assemblyman Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah in a press conference on Monday (6 Oct) announced himself as the GRS candidate for the constituency.
